Los niños, profesores y padres de la Institución Educativa "MARCO ANTONIO SCHENONE OLIVA"-7028 del distrito de Surquillo, Lima (Perú) organizaron una campaña medioambiental para fomentar el cuidado de la Naturaleza.

Los niños y niñas lucieron trajes hechos con materiales reciclados e hicieron una marcha con pancartas hechas por ellos para concienciar a la población.

The children, teachers and parents of the Educational Institution “MARCO ANTONIO SCHENONE OLIVA"-7028 from Surquillo, Lima (Peru) arranged an environmental campaign to promote the care of the Nature.

The boys and girls showed off costumes made with recycled materials and made a march with banners made by themselves to aware the people.

La Municipalidad Distristal de Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Perú) ha hecho un gesto por nuestro planeta y ha plantado 150 árboles en un terreno de su propiedad. Felicitamos a esta Municipalidad por su mentalidad verde a favor de la Tierra.

The Distric Municipality from Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Peru) has made a gesture for our planet and it has planted 150 trees in a terrain of its property. We congratulate to this Municipality for its green mind in favor of the Earth.

Los niños del grupo de SUEÑOS DE GAIA-MEXICO del colegio "Miguel Hidalgo" de Oaxaca, han trabajado y debatido sobre la relación entre el respeto y cuidado del medioambiente y la calidad de vida. Finalmente, llegaron a la conclusión que cuidar la Naturaleza es conseguir una mayor calidad de vida para hoy y para el futuro.

The children of the group DREAMS OF GAIA-MEXICO of the School "Miguel Hidalgo" from Oaxaca have worked and discussed about the relation among the respect, the care about the environment and the quality of life. Finally, they reached the desicion that caring the Nature is achieving a better quality of life for today and the future.

Con motivo de las celebraciones del XX ANIVERSARIO DE CRECIÓN POLÏTICA DEL DISTRITO DE NUEVO CHIMBOTE (Perú), se organizó un Concurso escolar de de disfraces con material reciclable, con el objetivo de fomentar la cultura ecológica en los escolares, a través de la elaboración de diseños a base de material reciclable y desarrollar en la población valores de responsabilidad personal y social para contribuir a la protección del medio ambiente, así como el cuidado y el respeto de la naturaleza.

En el concurso participaron niñas y niños de nivel INFANTIL, PRIMARIA y EDUCACION ESPECIAL. Los premios para los ganadores de cada categoría fueron: Contenedores para aprender a reciclar, material de limpieza y diploma.

Due to the celebration of the XX ANNIVERSARY OF THE POLITICAL CREATION OF THE DISTRICT OF NEW CHIMBOTE (Peru), a school costume contest with recyclable material was organized, with the aim of promoting ecological culture in the students, through the development of designs based in recyclable material and develop in the population values of personal and social responsibility to contribute to the environmental protection, as well as caring and respecting of the nature.

The competition involved children from INFANT level, PRIMARY and SPECIAL EDUCATION. The prizes for the winners in each category were: containers for learning how to recycle, cleaning materials and diploma.

Los niños y niñas de Santa Cruz (Bolivia), que trabajan en la iniciativa intercultural LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA, han realizado talleres sobre la importancia del cuidado del medioambiente y, especialmente, de la importancia del agua como fuente de vida. 

The boys and girls from Santa Cruz (Bolivia), who work in the intercultural iniciative DREAMS OF GAIA, have made some workshops about the importance of caring the environment and, especially, the importance of the water as source of life.

El grupo del Colegio El Olivo de Mairena del Aljarafe, Sevilla (España) que trabajan en el proyecto LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA, realizó actividades para conocer un poco mejor los demás países participantes. También se realizaron otras actividades para dar a conocer a familias y amigos la importancia de respetar el medioambiente. Para finalizar se dieron diplomas por el buen trabajo realizado por los niños y abrazos de alegría.

The group of the School "El Olivo" from Mairena del Aljarafe, Seville (Spain), who are members of the project DREAMS OF GAIA, made activities to know a bit better the rest of the participant countries; moreover, other activities were made to make known the importance of the care about the environment.

At the end, the children received diplomas due to their great work and hugs of joy.

El Árbol de Gaia que plantó el grupo del colegio El Olivo de Mairena del Aljarafe, Sevilla (España), que trabaja en el proyecto LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA, ya está lleno de hojas, y con ese motivo el grupo organizó

una fiesta, a la que invitaron a sus padres. La fiesta tuvo de todo, juegos, pruebas familiares, películas… Además, sirvió para dar a conocer su trabajo a familiares y amigos.

The Gaia tree wchich was planted by the children of the school "El Olvio" from Mairena del Aljarafe, Seville (Spain), members of the project DREAMS OF GAIA, is already full of leaves; that´s why this group through a party where their parents were invited too. It was a great party, with games, familiar proofs, films... Moreover, it served to publicize their work to family and friends.

Ellos son los encargados de cuidar este rincón y es una de sus actividades para concienciar de la importancia del cuidado del medioambiente.

The children of the Educational Institution "Marca Antonio Schenone Oliva"-7028 of the district from Surquillo, Lima (Peru) who take part in the project DREAMS OF GAIA, have created their little garden inside their school.

They are responsible of caring this corner and it´s one of the activities to aware of the importance of taking care of the environment.

El grupo de SUEÑOS DE GAIA-APARTADÓ de la Institución Educativa San Pedro Claver de Apartadó (Colombia) está haciendo una campaña para dar a conocer y fomentar el concepto de las tres R (REDUCIENDO RECICLANDO Y REUTILIZANDO).

Nos sólo han hecho juguetes con materiales que iba a ir a la basura, sino que, además, han organizado una Feria del Conocimiento con varios stands, en los que los niños y niñas explican a sus compañeros su trabajo y cómo pueden también ellos aplicar el concepto de las 3 R en su vida diaria.

The group DREAMS OF GAIA-APARTADÓ of the Educational Institution San Pedro Claver from Apartado (Colombia) is campaigning to give publicize and promote the concept of the three R (REDUCING RECYCLING and REUSING).

They have not only made toys with trash materials , but also have organized a Knowledge Fair with several stands, in which children explain to their classmates their work and how they can also apply the concept of the 3Rs in their daily life.

Nuestro grupo de LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA de Costa Rica continúa con sus actividades. Esta vez han optado por talleres de pinta-caras y juegos para sensibilizar de la riqueza de fauna que tiene su país. Agradecemos mucho la colaboración de la profesora Doña Marta.

Our group of DREAMS OF GAIA from Costa Rica keep with their activities. This time they have chosen face-painting workshops and games to aware of the wealth of wildlife in their country.

Plantando el árbol de Gaia / Planting the tree of Gaia

La Escuela de Educación Primaria nº 305 "Hermana Hortensia Coppa" de Santa Sylvina (Argentina), ha plantado su árbol de Gaia en el patio del colegio. Niños y profesores plantaron la flor nacional de Argentina, el Ceibo, y se unieron al resto de sus compañeros del proyecto con este acto simbólico que supone el inicio de sus actividades en LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA.

The Elementary School nº 305 "Hermana Hortensia Coppa" from Santa Sylvina (Argentina) has planted it Gaia Tree in the school yard. Children and teachers planted the Argentina´s National´s flower, the Ceibo, and they joined to the rest of their project mates with this symbolic event which marks the beginning of their activities in DREAMS OF GAIA.

LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA, estuvo presente en las actividades que se realizaron por el día de la Tierra en Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Perú)

La Municipalidad Distrital de Nuevo Chimbote a través del equipo de Ecología y Saneamiento, organizó un FORUM denominado SALVEMOS AL PLANETA, en el auditórium de la Universidad “César Vallejo”. Después, se dio inicio a un pasacalles, donde participaron diversas instituciones educativas y también instituciones comprometidas en esta gran tarea.

DREAMS OF GAIA was present in the activities which were done at the "Day of the Earth" in Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Peru).

The town district of Nuevo Chimbote (through the Ecology and Sanitation team) organised a FORUM called "LET´S SAVE THE PLANET" held in the auditorium of the University "César Vallejo". After that, a parade was begun, where differents educational institutions took part, along with others institutions engaged with this great issue.

En el Día de la Tierra, el grupo de SUEÑOS DE GAIA de Mairena del Aljarafe, Sevilla (España) visitó el Parque natural de Porzuna donde pudieron ver la flora y fauna del Aljarafe Sevillano y aprender lo importante que es cuidar la Naturaleza. Provistos de unos "Cuadernos del Aventurero" recorrieron los caminos del parque y vivieron mil aventuras.

In the "Day of the Earth", the group of DREAMS OF GAIA of Mairena del Aljarafe, Seville (Spain) visited the natural park of Porzuna, where they could see the flora and fauna of the Sevillian Aljarafe; they also learned how necessary is to care the Nature. Using theirs "Adventurer´s notebooks", the children walk through the park and lived countless adventures.

Los niños de la Escuela Primaria Albert Gutzmann de Berlín (Alemania) han plantado su árbol de Gaia. Es un manzano. 

Todos colaboraron en la plantación del manzano y de esa manera se unen a los demás niños del proyecto LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA.

Children of the Primary School Albert Gutzmann from Berlín (Deutchland) have planted their tree of Gaia. It´s an Apple-tree. 

All of them collaborated in the plantation of the Apple-tree and joined to the rest of children of the Project DREAMS OF GAIA.

SUEÑOS DE GAIA de Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Perú) en la actividad Taller de Caras Pintadas, trabajó acerca de la idea de lo importante que son los animales para el medio ambiente. Se habló de la riqueza de la fauna de la Amazonia y de que es importante cuidarla. Después, jugaron a pintarse la cara con dibujos de animales. Agradecemos la participación de la profesora Daniela Melón en esta actividad.

DREAMS OF GAIA from Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Peru) on the Activity about Painting Faces, they worked the idea of how relevant are the animals for the environment. They talked about the animals from the Amazonia and that is important to keep it. After that, they painted their faces with pictures of animals. We thank Daniela Melon for her participance on this activity.

El 22 de marzo fue el Día Internacional del Agua y los niños de la Escuela infantil MOM de Mairena del Aljarafe (España) hicieron el juego "SOY UNA GOTA DE AGUA". De esta forma, los niños y niñas aprendieron el ciclo del agua. Cada niño tenía una gota de agua pintada en una cartulina azul y después escucharon un cuento, para finalizar hicieron un teatro. Todos empiezan el teatro tendidos en el suelo juntos formando con las gotas de agua un río, después se acercó la profesora con el dibujo de un sol. Entonces, las gotitas se transforman en vapor, y los niños se ponen de pie simulando que vuelan por el aire. Seguidamente se unen todas en una nube. A continuación, dan saltitos porque empieza a llover y caen al suelo y se tienden de nuevo formando el río inicial. ¡Fue muy divertido!

March the 22th was the International Day of Water, and the children of the nursery MOM from Mairena del Aljarafe (España) played the game "I´m a raindrop". With that, children learned the the water cycle. Each child had a raindrop painted in a blue cardboard, and after that, they heared a tale and finally, they played a perform. Everyone start this perform laying down on the floor together forming with the raindrops a river, after that their teacher come up to them with the picture of a sun. Then, the raindrops became in steam, and the children stand up simulating that they fly through the air. Furthermore, all the raindrops join in a cloud. Moreover, children start to jump because it stats to rain and they lay down again, forming the initial river. It was very funny!!

Semana del Agua / Week of the Water

En Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Perú) se está celebrando la semana del AGUA del 16 al 22 de marzo, y el proyecto LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA, también estuvo presente, con actividades para niños pequeños, rofesores, padres, madres de familia y trabajadores comprometidos en la tarea de sensibilizar en el cuidado de nuestros recursos naturales. 

Se trabajó la importancia de no desperdiciar el RECURSO AGUA, a través de actividades divertidas para niños y niñas, como títeres, cuenta cuentos, muñecos, bailes y juegos. También los niños y niñas pudieron degustar de mucha AGUA, galletas y riquísimos zumos. 

Agradecemos la magnífica presentación del maravilloso show educativo infantil de "EL BAUL EDUCATIVO DE MABY". También agradecer el interés los trabajadores de ANA (Autoridad Nacional del Agua) quienes también se sumarán en breve al proyecto para apoyarlo en su difusión. 

In Nuevo Chimbote, Ancash (Peru) is being held the week of WATER (16th to 22th March), and the project DREAMS OF GAIA was also presented, with activities for children, teachers, parents and  implicated workers on the issue of sensitization on the care of our natural resources. 

People worked to have aware of do not waste the WATER through funny activities for children, like puppets, storytelling, dances and games. Also children could enjoy much WATER, cookies and delicious juices.

We appreciate the excellent presentation of the wonderful educational children's show "THE EDUCATION OF TRUNK MABY". Also thank the interest of ANA´s workers (National Water Authority) who also will join in the project to support its dissemination.

Talleres / Workshop

Los niños y niñas del CEIP el Olivo siguen su trabajo en el proyecto LOS SUEÑOS DE GAIA. Los tres grupos de este colegio están comprometidos con el cuidado de la Naturaleza y el respeto a los demás.

El grupo de los más pequeños sigue con sus talleres de reciclaje y los más mayores realizan dinámicas de respeto al otro. 

Children of El Olivo School continue working on the project. The 3

groups of this school is work now in activities about respect for Nature and also the acceptance of every person no matter their country, condition, culture, language or beliefs.

Los niños y niñas de CHIQUI GAIA aprendieron lo importante que es cuidar la Naturaleza con dibujos. Ellos "dieron vida" al dibujo de una planta pintándola de colores con sus manitas.

Después, expusieron su trabajo y vieron que las plantas vivas son más bonitas que las que están muertas. GRAN TRABAJO DEL EQUIPO DE PROFESORAS DE CHIQUI GAIA.

Children of LITTLE GAIA Project learned how important it is to look after the Nature. They painted with their fingers a drawing of a plant.

Then they saw a live plant is prettier than a dead plant and they talked about it.

El 21 de febrero, en el grupo de Mairena del Aljarafe (España) seaplicó lo que se ha aprendido de reciclaje. Los niños y niñas hicieronjuguetes con material de desecho, como cohetes y marionetas.Con las marionetas se hizo un teatro sobre lo importante que esreciclar y después un pequeño debate.

 On February 21, the goup from Mairena del Aljarafe (Spain) made toysfrom recycled material, like rockets and puppets.Then, with the puppets, they did a play about recycling and a little discussion.
